The grade 12 students at The Launceston Church Grammar School raised enough money to set up a brick making venture in the Trans Mara. The Mitshibushi Canter is used to transport sand, clay and mud to the site where the bricks are being made. They are then transported to town and buiding sites where where are sold.




The Launceston community collected approximately $300,000 worth of vital educational and medical equipment for Tarime in 2010. Various school communities, in particular The Launceston Church Grammar School (co-ordinated by Allison Bassano), Youngtown Primary (co-ordinated by Wendy Dalton) and Sacred Heart (co-ordinated by Alison Smith) worked particularly hard to allow the fruition of our successful container project.

The boys will teach the school children about water borne diseases, which are the major cause of morbidity & mortality in Tanzania.
