How exciting is this? We are so thrilled to see the second Water Well at Kiterere in action. What does this mean? It means 1000s of people now have access to safe and clean drinking water and no longer risk their lives collecting water from muddy pools at the side of roads and in dried creek beds. Thank you AusAID and DFAT. It’s a very happy Wednesday for us! #caringforcommunities

Did you know that we have been able to install 3 Deep Water Wells in 3 of the 6 communities we work in? It’s thanks to our fundraisers and donors that this has been possible. It’s our dream to install a water well in each of the communities we work in. 3 down, 3 to go! It will mean that 1000s of women don’t have to collect water, walking through the night 24 hours a day, in buckets (for drinking and cooking) from the side of the road or from small unclean and unsafe ponds like this. It really is changing their lives.

Thank you to our 2013 volunteers and our Tanzanian colleagues for their contribution to another successful year of clinics. We are compiling the data… it is almost complete: over 2400 school children dewormed, over 300 community members dewormed and just over 1000 medical consultations performed by our pharmacist and doctors. Without you all this would never have been possible!
